We provide Mandinka, Wolof, Pullar, Serahule, Jola language lessons to international and Gambian students. This is a great opportunity for Gambians to speak more than one Gambian language.
We provide opportunities to students abroad to come live and learn in Juffereh. Additionally, we take students (local and international) to other heritage sites in the Gambia.
Pottery making involves shaping clay into various forms such as pots, vases and sculptures and then firing them in a kiln to harden them.
Woodwork teaches how to craft objects from wood using tools such as saws and chisels. Students learn woodworking techniques , as well as woodworking safety practices.
Bead weaving involves using small beads to create intricate patterns and designs in jewelry, accessories, and decorative objects.
Grass weaving, also known as basket weaving, involves using natural fibers such as grasses, reeds, or straw to create baskets, mats, and other woven items.
Gambian wrestling, also known as "Borreh" or "Lutte Traditionnelle," is a traditional form of wrestling practiced in The Gambia and other West African countries.
Students learn about color theory, composition, and different painting styles and genres.
